Minutes of the
Sixth Annual General Meeting of the Company
Held at
Cornerstone, St Peter’s Church, Burnham
on 10th October
2007.
Present:

Barrett (Secretary); Olivia Graham; Fiona Trigg; Jennifer Woolveridge.

Residents, Staff, Friends and Supporters.

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE had been received from John
Stanley, Amanda Buckley, Ruth Vigor-Hedderly and a number of invitees.
2.
MINUTES of the fifth AGM, held on the 12th October
2006, were agreed and signed by the Chairman.
3. RE-APPOINTMENT OF
DIRECTORS
(a) Appointed during
year: John Stanley and Ruth Vigor-Hedderly
(b) Retiring by
rotation: John Kennedy, Jennifer Woolveridge and Fiona Trigg
Proposed by Olivia Graham, seconded by Desmond Orr and unanimously
agreed, all were duly appointed to serve for a further term.
4. ELECTION OF

Proposed by Jennifer Woolveridge, seconded by Fiona Trigg and
unanimously agreed, all were duly appointed to serve for a further term.
5. ANNUAL REPORT AND
ACCOUNTS
The Annual Report and Accounts, which had been approved by the Board
on 6th August 2007, were duly received by the meeting.
6. APPOINTMENT OF
AUDITORS
Cansdales were reappointed as Auditors, proposed by Desmond Orr,
seconded by Richard Barrett and unanimously agreed.
7.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Sue Ogden reported that a
generous donation of £1,500 had been received just before the meeting from
Burnham Joggers and the meeting recorded their gratitude for this ongoing
support.
The meeting closed at 8.07 p.m.
CHAIRMAN DATE
At the conclusion of formal business addresses were given by:

Desmond Orr, the Hon. Treasurer, who gave an illustrated, detailed
explanation of Padstones’ finances and
occupancy levels, and highlighted the forecast financial shortfall for the
current year. Projected Income for 2007/8 £329,816; Expenditure £344,223;
Deficit £14,407 with Reserves reducing to £86,896, equivalent to 25.2% of
annual expenditure.
At the conclusion of his talk
Jennifer Woolveridge paid a warm tribute to Desmond for his unstinting
devotion to the work of Padstones throughout its existence.

Residents - Kirsty who sang a
song she had written and composed herself; James who spoke about a residents
trip to the circus; and Lisa and Kirsty who spoke about other residents trips
to London and ice skating.

Finally Sue Ogden, the General Manager, paid tribute to the successes
of the residents and to the whole staff for their continued dedication and
commitment to the work during the year, and Paul Wiltshire, Operations
Manager, spoke about the good GCSE and college results which had been
achieved by the residents.
