More about us

Padstones is a local charity working in High Wycombe and Burnham in Buckinghamshire. Our aim is to offer young homeless adults aged 16-25 accommodation, support and the advice they need in order to become independent.

Thanks to local authority grants, the Housing associations' Charitable Trust and regular donations from local churches, Parish Councils, businesses and groups, Padstones has provided a safety net for over 800 young people since its conception in 1992.

How we can help

Following interview residents are provided short, medium or long term accommodation either at Reedham House in South Bucks, or Havenfield in High Wycombe. There are a total of 17 beds available. All residents have to agree to abide by House Disciplines, which includes a curfew. Once a lower level of support is required, residents can go on to reside at our move-on accommodation, which helps prepare towards total independence. We also provide a Floating Support service to those who move on into their own accommodation or who require housing advice and advocacy.

Working together

In order to help maintain a family-type atmosphere, each resident is allocated a Keyworker upon arrival who can provide advice, impart life skills, provide training, literacy and numeracy advice and help to identify educational and job opportunities, as well as offering much encouragement and general support. By working together, we can ensure that the resident feels at home and gains the confidence and skills they need for a successful future.
