The charity Padstones, whose unsung work helps meet the needs and addresses the issues of some of the District's young, single and homeless adults, is coming of age, celebrating 18 years supporting the local community.
Thanks to local authority grants, the Housing associations' Charitable Trust and regular donations from local churches, Parish Councils, businesses and groups, Padstones has provided a safety net for over 800 young people since its conception in 1992.

Contemporary works by some the nation's finest artists will share wall space with the region's up-and-coming art talent in a unique event for charity this month. Wealth management advisor Austyn James Consulting Limited will stage the exhibition in association with TAG Fine Arts on Thursday 25th February in order to raise funds for The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Padstones charities. Five percent of sale value on the night will be shared between the two chosen charities.
